🚨 Happy Emergency Services Day 🚨

Today, we pause to honor the everyday heroes who work tirelessly to keep us safe — our police officers, firefighters, paramedics, ambulance crews, coastguards, NHS staff, and all emergency service workers.

You are there for us on our worst days, often putting your own safety on the line. Your courage, commitment, and compassion do not go unnoticed. 💙

Our Lucy Corr residents put together goodie bags and thank you cards to drop off to our local police department to say thank you for everything they do!

🇺🇸🎆 Stars, Stripes, and Smiles! 🎆🇺🇸

Our residents celebrated the 4th of July in the most festive fashion today—and what a beautiful day it was! We kicked things off with a delicious lunch full of all the classic favorites, shared laughter and stories, and soaked in the joy of togetherness. ❤️🤍💙

Creativity took center stage during our firework-themed craft session—because who says fireworks are only for the sky? 💥🎨

We captured the spirit of the day with a red, white, and blue photo shoot full of sparkle, pride, and patriotic cheer. 📸✨

To top it off, we ended the day with a concert from Waltz Street filling the room with his amazing music 🎙️🎵

While the summer heat kept us from gathering outdoors, it didn’t stop us from hosting a lovely indoor garden party! Independent Living Residents and their guests were welcomed with the soothing sounds of a live flutist, delicious food, and warm hospitality as they explored our vibrant community.

Laughter, conversation, and connection filled the air—proof that it’s not the setting, but the people, that make a party truly special. 💐🎶🍓

🐷🦆🐰🐢🐐 What a wildly fun day at Lucy Corr! 🐐🐢🐰🦆🐷

The Health Care Center was buzzing with excitement as pigs, ducks, bunnies, turtles, and goats paid us a special visit! Residents lit up with joy as they cuddled bunnies, giggled at the goats, and even got up close with some waddling ducks. 🥰🐾

Thank you to everyone who made this petting zoo experience so special—it was a day full of laughter, love, and furry (and feathered!) friends.

Kicking off the first day of summer at Lucy Corr-Luau style! 🌺

Care, compassion and kindness: three words that are synonymous with Miss Lucy Corr and the health care community that bears her name. Lucy Corr opened in 1970 as the Chesterfield County Nursing Home. This invaluable asset to the citizens of the Chesterfield area would not have been possible without the tireless efforts of its founder, who was affectionately called “Miss Lucy.”
