Swift Creek Aromatics Swift Creek Aromatics - Soy Candles & Soaps. Making handcrafted cold process soaps and soy candles Welcome to Swift Creek Aromatics! Your skin will thank you!

Bringing you products full of natural goodness the way nature intended. At Shelley Waye Naturals, we use high quality ingredients and fewer chemicals than store brand products. All of our products are Sodium Lauryl Sulfate free, phthalate free, formaldehyde free and paraben free. Swift Creek Aromatics candles are made from natural soybeans and cotton wicks. We do not blend any of our candle wax with paraffin and all of our wicks are cotton and lead free. Our candle fragrance oils are phthalate free and our candle supplier has made a commitment to the environment in the products they choose and through carbon offsets for shipping. Swift Creek Aromatics soaps are made with saponified oils, dried herbs that are harvested from our own garden, and a mixture of phthalate free fragrance oils and essential oils. We choose not to use any artificial lab colors of FD&C dyes in our soaps. Any color in the soap comes from dried herbs, a herbal infusion, or from clay. All soaps are safe to be used on any part of the body, but they have been broken up into 3 groups based on recipes that have been well tested for body, face & hair. Most companies that produce handmade soaps use 3-4 oils in their soap. On average, we use 6 oils and 1 to 2 butters per recipe. We find that it just makes a better, more conditioning bar of soap. For those of you who have concerns about the use of Palm oil in soap products, we do too. We use very minimal amounts of palm oil in some of our soaps for hardness but it is an oil we continue to phase out. Our soap supplier only purchases palm oil from vendors who are members of the Roundtable for Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). This organization has made a commitment to helping stop some of the deforestation of the orangutan habitat in Malaysia and Indonesia. Swift Creek Aromatics solid lotions, whipped body butters or whipped body scrubs may contain emulsifiers or preservatives in the product. Emulsifiers are necessary to bind water with oil and are used in most scrubs and lotion products today. A paraben-free preservative is used in the whipped body products because water is used during the saponification process and it is necessary to preserve the product against bacteria, mold & fungus. This company has evolved from my own experiences and frustrations with trying to find products that don't irritate my skin. For years I had been told that the only way to get good skin is to burn layers off either by using peels, glycolic's or dermabrasion. I have since learned to stop irritating the skin and once it is given a chance to heal and not be stripped of beneficial oils, can you even dare to have good skin. Now that you know a little bit more about our products, please take a look through our website. Thank you for supporting locally handmade items, whether it is here or in your own neighborhood. AND....please continue to be an educated consumer by asking questions and reading labels. Most people don't know that many named brand soaps are using tallowite, which is a by-product of beef. It may make a consistent bar of soap but do you really want beef by-products and lots of chemicals on your face! I hope you enjoy using your product in the same way I have in making it! Shelley Waye
