“Quality over quantity” has been drilled into us like it’s the gold standard.
Eat clean. Choose whole foods. Avoid the “bad” stuff.
That’s a very important part of the picture. But it's not the WHOLE picture.
How much you’re eating plays a big role too. It may not be fun to talk about, but it's the facts. Not in a restrictive, obsessive way. In a "this is how the body works" way.
AND they can impact each other - high quality foods often mean less total calories and less total calories can lead to lower quality choices 🤷🏻♀️
You can eat all whole, nutrient-dense foods… and still be eating too much or too little for your specific goals.
You can eat “clean”…and still not be getting enough protein to support your strength.
Whether you track it or not, quantity is still making an impact.
If you’ve been relying on “eating healthy” without ever getting clear on how much… you haven’t tried everything.
You’ve only addressed one half of the equation.
When you pair quality and quantity things start to click.
