A few quick reminders:
• Back is best—always place babies on their backs
• Choose a firm mattress with a fitted sheet
• Keep cribs clear of blankets, pillows, and toys

Happy Occupational Therapy Month 💙

Today we are celebrating Miss Jane, one of our amazing Occupational Therapists!

Miss Jane brings so much heart, energy, and fun into every session. She truly believes therapy should feel like play, because when kids are engaged and having fun, that’s when the magic happens. She loves walking alongside her kiddos through every stage, cheering them on as they grow, build confidence, and become comfortable in who they are.

Outside of the clinic, you can find Miss Jane soaking up the outdoors with her dog, making the most of every moment together. Whether it’s a walk, a car ride, or just relaxing in the grass, those simple moments mean everything to her.

She also has a fun (and long-lasting!) love for turtles, having cared for them for over 20 years. Her kiddos love hearing all about them and even getting to see them from time to time.

And if you really want to know Miss Jane… just know her heart may run on Coca-Cola 😊.

We are so lucky to have a therapist who brings joy, creativity, and genuine connection into every session. Thank you, Miss Jane, for making such a lasting impact on the lives of the families you serve! 💛

We love seeing moments like this!

Some of the children who received these incredible custom vehicles were connected through Kidworks LLC, where our therapists helped link families to this amazing opportunity with Valparaiso University’s GoBabyGo program.

We’re so proud to collaborate with the students and faculty from the College of Engineering and Occupational Therapy program who make experiences like this possible. Creating not just mobility, but confidence, independence, and lifelong memories for children and their families.

Around 6–9 months, babies are getting stronger and more mobile. Big movements are happening in this stage!

Some things to watch for:
• Not rolling both directions
• Difficulty sitting without support
• Trouble bearing weight on legs
• Using one side of the body more

Tummy time struggles? You’re not alone.

Tummy time is important, but it shouldn’t feel impossible every time.

You may want to look a little closer if your baby:
• Has trouble lifting their head
• Isn’t pushing up on their arms
• Strongly dislikes tummy time
• Isn’t rolling by around 6 months

Small challenges early on can make a big difference later.

Happy Occupational Therapy Month!

Today we are celebrating Ms. Monica and the creativity she brings to every session!

Ms. Monica loves getting outside for walks, and that same calm, refreshing energy carries into her therapy sessions. She is always finding new and engaging ways to keep kids motivated and excited to learn.

Her go to drink is a good cup of coffee, helping her stay energized and ready to create fun and unique interventions tailored to each child she works with. ☕

What she loves most about being an occupational therapist is thinking outside the box and designing creative activities that help kids build skills while having fun.

Fun fact: Ms. Monica recently got engaged, and we could not be more excited for her! 💍
