I have seen a number of personal care opportunites come up on social media community boards, groups and personal pages. While I am sure they all have good intensions and want to help our most vnurable population it is good to consider this information.
I have spoke with familes who have had bad experiences and I just want to drive awareness and be sure that you do your due diligence when inviting someone into your home or your loved ones home.

As families explore in-home support for loved ones, it’s important to understand the difference between hiring privately and working with a licensed agency.
A private caregiver may charge less, but ask yourself these key questions before inviting anyone into your home:
• Are they bonded and insured in case of accident or theft?
• Have they completed national background checks and drug screenings?
• Do they have a current TB test and up-to-date training?
• Who steps in if they can’t show up for a shift?
At FirstCare Homecare, every team member is thoroughly vetted, background-checked, drug/TB tested, trained, and supervised — giving families the peace of mind that comes with professional oversight and accountability.
Yes, agency care may cost a bit more — but it’s an investment in safety, reliability, and dignity for those you love most. ❤️
