Dr. Ajay Wasan He is also board certified in psychiatry and completed a residency in psychiatry at Johns Hopkins.

Ajay Wasan, MD, MSc, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology and Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Director of the Section of Clinical Pain Research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He is board certified in Pain Medicine and completed fellowship training in interventional pain medicine in the Anesthesiology Department at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In his clinical work, he sees patients at the Brigham and Women’s Pain Management Center, a multidisciplinary pain treatment center. He has particular expertise in the psychiatric co-morbidities of chronic pain and in the use of opioids, placebo responses, neuropathic pain medications, psychotropic medications, and interventional procedures.
