                                            While we’re not big fans of college rankings, we noted the recent Wall Street Journal’s Best Value ranking of colleges that took into account the college’s net price as compared to early career earnings, among other career-focused factors. To optimize career options upon college graduation, we encourage students to begin in high school to explore general career possibilities through internships, paid jobs, volunteering and other means.  In college, students should take advantage of career services on campus from day one, and take each and every opportunity for a hands-on experience. Career development is an iterative process, not a snap decision
