When the temperatures drop, so does your skin’s moisture level.

Keep your skin hydrated by switching to a thicker moisturizer and avoiding long, hot showers. Your skin barrier will thank you!

✨ Pro tip: Apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp for best results.

Baking soda isn’t skincare (despite what social says)

Dear Patients:

A trend worth avoiding.

The latest in a long line of misinformed social media beauty trends? "Washing your face with baking soda". As a board-certified dermatologist, please say no to this trend. While it’s going viral, this kitchen staple can disrupt your skin’s natural barrier and cause irritation—far from the glow people are hoping for. Baking soda is composed of Sodium Bicarbonate which is alkaline (pH 8-9) and can cause skin irritation, itching and redness. So, keep your baking soda in the kitchen for baking!
