President Biden is not seeking reelection.
Thank you Mr. President! This is an act of honor. bravery, intelligence and patriotism. Though, after so many prominent public figures such as Rep. Lloyd Doggett, actor George Clooney, and some others asked him to drop out from the race of 2024. President Biden finally found the courage to not participate.
President Biden posted in his official account: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president and while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for my remaining term.”
Yes dear President, it has been the greatest honor for America to have you as one of her best sons, best citizen and one of her best leaders of modern times. You are right, it is in the best interest of the Democratic Party and the nation for you to stand down. A brave and honest American puts his/her nation first, not just in words like some do, but in action. Throughout 60 years of dedicated service, you have shown Americans nothing but the best.
As I wrote in my previous post, you will always be remembered as a hero for saving American Democracy twice. You saved it first when our democracy was at stake in 2020, defeating Donald Trump whose agenda was very undemocratic and pathatically,his agenda stubbornly remains even more undemocratic. Now you are saving our democracy for the second time by handing your torch to a more fit and competent democrat who can face Donald Trump in November.
You have proven yourself Mr. President. You are Delaware’s longest serving senator. You entered politics at age 29. You are the greatest president of the greatest nation in the planet. Now, you are 81 years old. You have been in politics for 52 years. That’s more than half a century. America called upon you when she needed you the most, and you responded to duty with the highest dignity and integrity. Of course you are exhausted.
As the global geopolitical strategy is shifting more towards authoritarian and autocratic regimes, such as Russia, China, India, and believe it or not Hungary. To defend our democracy, we need a stronger candidate. A stronger democracy in America means stronger democratic leadership worldwide.
Thank you President Biden for giving Democracy another chance to survive. I have so much confidence in American resilience. May God bless you and may God infinitely bless America, the beacon of democracy.
