IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
EMERGENT AND SPECIAL EXCEPTION TO MMCC ID CARD REQUIREMENT
Exception period begins: Tuesday February 16, 2021
Exception period ends: Upon further notice

Due to an increased volume on the Maryland OneStop portal some users may experience intermittent technical difficulties accessing patient information.

In order for patients or caregivers to continue to purchase medical cannabis without disruption the MMCC is allowing an exception process for dispensary agents checking patient allotments.

EXCEPTION CRITERIA:
The dispensary may allow the patient or caregiver to make purchases under the following conditions.
Patient or Caregiver provide the following documents
Valid Government issued photo ID
MMCC Patient or Caregiver Identification number
Dispensaries are required to log into Metrc if the OneStop portal is not available;
Verify current patient (and caregiver when applicable)
Check patient allotment of medical cannabis available for purchase
This exception for the requirement to possess a MMCC ID card for the purchase of medical cannabis is a temporary and emergent measure to assist patients in obtaining needed medication.
