Let’s talk VASODILATION and why you don’t need to freak out if you’re red/flushed after certain facials!

Vasodilation is when blood vessels widen, allowing more blood/oxygen/nutrients to flow freely through those vessels which means….as soon as that flushing dissipates you are left with a fresh, bright glow. Vasodilation can happen with heat, exercise, certain medications and inflammation. In the case of facials it’s usually from products that bring heat/increase circulation to the skin.

The Dark Chocolate mask in February’s facial does cause vasodilation! It only lasted around 45 minutes for me when I tested the products on myself. Below are photos of me directly after the facial, and hour post facial, and the day after.

If the thought of being red still scares you don’t worry. I do have any other mask that we can use on its own or mix with dark chocolate to still get some of those benefits. Also the strawberry enzyme smells delectable!
