🚩 Women’s Health Red Flags 🚩
If your symptoms are being managed with prescriptions and excuses such as- you’re taking on too much, or, just diet and exercise will solve all of your problems - instead of curiosity and empathy… that’s a problem.
Here are a few things that should make you pause:
• Being started on a mood medication without checking hormones or thyroid
Not every woman with anxiety, irritability, poor sleep, or low motivation is “depressed.”
Sometimes she’s hormonally depleted, perimenopausal, or with sub par thyroid levels that might be MIs-interpreted as “normal”.
• Being told birth control will fix everything
Birth control doesn’t fix hormone problems- it suppresses them.
Masking symptoms isn’t the same as solving them.
• Being told birth control regulates your cycle
It doesn’t regulate your natural cycle, it replaces it.
That’s cycle control, not hormone balance.
• Getting a diagnosis without foundational testing
Women deserve more than assumptions.
Symptoms without context lead to missed diagnoses and prolonged suffering.
Women’s health is complex.
Mood. Sleep. Weight. Energy. Cognition. Libido.
They’re all connected, and hormones often sit at the center.
You deserve someone who asks why and spends more than 15 minutes with you working the problem…
Not someone who reaches for the fastest prescription or an easy excuse.
Because “this is just part of being a woman”
…is not a diagnosis. 🔥
