At Northwestern Medicine, research is an essential part of how we care for patients. Our teams work together every day to explore new ideas, test innovative therapies, and move medicine forward.

In 2025, this commitment resulted in more than 7,100 clinical studies involving over 398,000 participants. Each study adds to the knowledge that helps us diagnose conditions earlier, refine treatments, and improve outcomes for our patients.

Medical reports in seconds. Screenings that lower cancer risk. A clinic dedicated to helping you live healthier, longer. At Northwestern Medicine, this is not a vision for the future. It is happening now.

By integrating artificial intelligence into patient care, we are transforming how diagnoses are made and how lives are saved. From AI enhanced radiology that speeds imaging interpretation by up to 50 percent to advanced tools that improve detection during colonoscopies and the Human Longevity Clinic focused on extending health span, our approach is both innovative and patient centered.
