This week, we marked Matthew Idowu's bittersweet retirement. He's been in healthcare for most of his life, spending 12 years with Sir Management and his final 6 at Bryn Mawr Care as a CNA/RSA. Matthew had this unique spirit that always brought a smile to everyone's face. With his strong work ethic and compassionate care, he'll be greatly missed by both consumers and staff. But we're sending him off with best wishes as he heads back home to Nigeria to enjoy the sweet early days of retirement. 🎉

Living with a mental health diagnosis can present significant challenges, often disrupting everyday life. When Cruise arrived at our facility, he stood at a critical juncture, uncertain about his future. However, he courageously sought assistance, reaching out for support. Collaborating with our counselor and social workers, Cruise embarked on a journey to rebuild his life and reclaim his independence. Through unwavering determination and diligence, he not only graduated from university but also secured a degree and a full-time job, all while under the care of Bryn Mawr. Our team facilitated his access to programs that facilitated his acquisition of his own apartment and transportation, enabling him to continue his treatment seamlessly. Today, Cruise has successfully transitioned to living independently within the community, a testament to his remarkable achievements. We couldn't be prouder of his progress.
