🌸🐰 Spring is in full swing at Clarendale!

Residents had a wonderful time partnering with the Irving Park Community Food Pantry, using their donations they collected to build Easter baskets for children in the neighboring community! We love coming together as a community to support a good cause!

The fun continued this week when residents had a competitive Easter egg contest with a giant basket prize for the winner!

We also welcomed a visit from the Schurz HS Card Care Club, who brought springtime cheer and beautiful hand-made artwork!

Residents got crafty decorated a bunny-themed wreath overflowing with flowers, eggs, and ribbons!

To celebrate warmer days ahead, they also made stepping stones in honor of our upcoming gardening season!

And for a little extra laughter, happy hour had a surprise guest, dressed very festive, bringing smiles and giggles all around!

It was a week full of creativity, giving, and community spirit! 🐣 💐

Wishing a happy Passover from Clarendale Six Corners!

Whether familiar with the traditions or experiencing them for the first time, residents enjoyed a beautiful and educational Seder service together! With guided booklets explaining the story of the holiday, symbolic foods thoughtfully prepared for each part of the experience, and songs shared throughout, the program created a meaningful sense of connection and understanding. Our engaging host brought warmth and energy to the afternoon, making it both memorable and impactful for all who attended!

Feeling lucky all month long! 🍀

Residents enjoyed a beautiful outing to the Garfield Park Conservatory, taking in the lush greenery and fresh spring vibes.

We also celebrated Women’s History Month in style with a charming Celtic tea party—full of warmth, tradition, and great company. ☕💚

One of the highlights of the month was welcoming the talented Chicago Irish Dance Studio—the only adult Irish dance school in Chicago! They amazed us with a lively performance and even taught our residents a few Irish dances! It was especially meaningful to see our very own director of community outreach, Betsy, showcase her talents in part of this group!

To top it all off, residents headed out for a fun outing to the Open Gate Brewery in the West Loop- great drinks, great laughs, and even better memories!

🍀 St. Patrick’s Day Celebration 🍀
You’ve never seen a Clarendale St. Patrick’s Day party quite like this—Erin go Bragh! ☘️

Residents kicked off the festivities by planting individual shamrock plants (Oxalis) to bring a little Irish luck home with them. 🌱

Earlier in the week, residents also designed custom green T-shirts during a fun craft project, ironing on decorative patches to create festive looks perfect for wearing to our St. Patrick’s Day party!

In the kitchen, residents rolled up their sleeves to make and taste homemade Irish soda bread, a delicious traditional treat that everyone enjoyed. 🍞

The celebration continued with lively traditional Irish music—fiddle and all! 🎻 Residents tapped their feet, enjoyed festive drinks, and soaked in the joyful atmosphere!

We also hosted an Irish whiskey tasting where residents learned about the distilling process and explored unique Irish brands such as Redbreast and Teeling, discovering the different styles and flavor profiles that make Irish whiskey so special. 🥃

A full month full of creativity, music, learning, and Irish spirit!

Clarendale Six Corners enjoyed meeting so many passionate healthcare professionals and sharing more about the rewarding opportunities we have available for LPNs and CNAs/Caregivers. We’re excited to continue building a team that delivers exceptional care and makes a meaningful difference every day.

A special shoutout to our LCS sister communities who were also present: Sedgebrook , Wyndemere Senior Living, and The Clare. It was wonderful to collaborate, connect, and represent the strength of our shared commitment to senior living together.
