What an event to remember at Clarendale Six Corners! ✨🎭

Our 2026 Masquerade Prom was truly one for the books and everyone absolutely showed out!
From the moment residents arrived, the energy, elegance, and excitement filled the entire community!

Our incredible 5-piece band kept the dance floor rocking while residents sipped on our signature Rose Spritz cocktail! The décor transformed the space into a glamorous masquerade celebration full of sparkle, mystery, and fun.

One of the highlights of the evening was our resident-voted superlatives! Awards ranged from “Most Entertaining on the Bus” all the way to crowning our Prom King and Queen. Winners were presented with roses as they made their way to the stage, making each moment feel even more special and celebratory. 🌹👑

We enjoyed every second together as a community and loved seeing residents and staff dance, connect, laugh, and create memories!

✨ What a great way to start the day! ✨

This morning from 10 AM – 12 PM, we hosted our Headshots & Handshakes networking event at Clarendale Six Corners bringing together incredible healthcare professionals from the senior living industry 🤝💼

Attendees had the opportunity to freshen up their professional image 📸 with beautiful headshots by the talented Sally Blood, a local photographer right here in the Portage Park neighborhood.
We love shining a spotlight on amazing partners from our own community ❤️
From meaningful introductions to polished new photos, it was a morning full of connection, collaboration, and growth 🌱

💐 Happy Mother’s Day from Clarendale Six Corners 💐
Today, we honor and celebrate all the incredible mothers in our community—those with us and those we hold forever in our hearts. Their love, strength, and legacy continue to shape the families and lives around us every single day.

Our Mother’s Day buffet was a beautiful reflection of that love—featuring lobster tail, filet, and an array of amazing dishes thoughtfully prepared by Chef Chris and his talented team. It was a meal made with care, bringing people together.

At Clarendale Six Corners, we are proud to care not just for our residents, but for their families and our dedicated staff as well.

To all mothers—past and present—thank you for the love you’ve given and the lives you’ve touched. 💖

What is your Why?
I’ve taken care of people since I started working as a certified nursing assistant at 17 years old. Becoming a nurse was the next step, and I can’t see myself doing anything else, I love people!

What is your Why?
My why in nursing is simple: to make someone’s day a little easier. Working with the elderly taught me to value time, to slow down, and to care with intention. Knowing I can ease their pain or bring them comfort gives my work meaning.

How long have you worked at Clarendale?
More than 2 years

What do you like to do when you're not working?
I eat, I walk my dog, I chat with my friends overseas, and I FaceTime my girls multiple times a day.

Celebrating Mother’s Week at Clarendale! 💐✨

This week has been all about honoring and celebrating the incredible mothers in our community with special moments, laughter, creativity, and connection!

Residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to Eris Brewery and Cider House where the owner shared the fascinating history and tour of the building, followed by delicious cider tastings and lunch together. 🍎🥂

We also brought the island vibes to Clarendale during our margarita cocktail class led by special guest “Pineapple Paul,” who guided us the tropical way to deliciousness! 🍍🍹

Our Mother’s Pancake & Latte Bar Social was the perfect cozy gathering filled with sweet treats, iced drinks, and wonderful company. ☕🥞

Residents also created beautiful canvas tote
bags just in time for spring and summer adventures !

We are grateful for all of the amazing mothers of Clarendale who continue to inspire our community every day with their strength, kindness, wisdom, and love. Happy Mother’s Week! 💕

We continue our celebration of Nurses Week featuring our nurse Lynniesha Owens. We love getting know Lynniesha and think you will too!

What is your Why?
When my father was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, I took care of him until his last breath. Seeing how much of a difference I've made for my father helped me appreciate life and helping others more. My dream of becoming a cosmologist was immediately changed to becoming a Nurse. I'm so proud that I've accomplished that.

Spending time with my family, reading, and eating hot wings.
