We embraced the sunshine with a joyful Puppy Yoga event in our courtyard, where residents and staff (yes, even staff couldn’t help but join!) -came together for an afternoon of wellness and furry fun! The session combined gentle yoga with the playful energy of baby Yorkie pups who roamed freely throughout the class—offering unexpected “pet breaks” between poses and plenty of laughter along the way.

Spending time with animals like these sweet Yorkies is more than just fun—it’s therapeutic! Interacting with pets has been shown to reduce stress, boost mood, and foster a sense of connection and comfort. Add in the benefits of movement and fresh air on a beautiful summer day, and you’ve got a perfect recipe for relaxation and joy!

Today we had the privilege of hosting a book signing for Nicole Hollander- creator of the nationally syndicated column “Sylvia”.

She read from one of her books describing the history behind her column, and gave ample time for Q&A and signing cat-themed inscriptions for our guests. Thank you Nicole!

July festivities are in full swing here at Clarendale! We’re soaking up the summer fun in our beautiful courtyard—residents enjoyed a lively performance from an American Grassroots duo during happy hour and got competitive with a pool duck derby race and a hilarious round of Human Hungry Hungry Hippos!

The dog days of summer can't keep us down! During our spirit week in June, residents from our Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care neighborhoods gathered together to make homemade dog treats for Chicago Canine Rescue. 🐶 ☀️

"The baking sessions not only were a fun social event; they also served a therapeutic purpose for many participants. Simple steps such as mixing and kneading can provide much-needed mental, physical and emotional stimulation."

A look into last week’s Spirit Day at Clarendale! Residents and staff wore their custom-designed t-shirts in celebration of our upcoming two-year anniversary! With Executive Director Paul manning the grill, the tailgate vibes were strong! The afternoon was filled with volleyball, laughter, and great company as neighbors came together for fun in the sun. What a fantastic kickoff to our anniversary celebrations!

🥂 Cheers to 2️⃣ years!

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who joined us to celebrate two years of our community at Clarendale Six Corners 🥰 🎊

Since last year, our building census has more than DOUBLED, and our team could not be more grateful for the residents, staff, professional partners, neighbors, and family members who make our community all that it can be.

We danced to the The Blooze Brothers, had a champagne toast with residents, and watched as new memories were made. We can’t wait to see what the next year will have in store for our community!
