I’ve poured so much love into growing something small and strong, and it has taken on a life of its own in a way 🌱

So this is not the end, but rather the beginning of something bigger than me and bigger than any service.

🍭 Posting this photo today for little me—and for all the niñas and inner niñas learning to take up space.

Día del Niño is a call—to protect children, love them, uplift them, and create a world where they’re free to dream bigger.

I didn’t grow up with practices that nourished mental health or physical wellness. But I grew up with curiosity, a big heart, and a quiet knowing that I wanted to help people feel better. Now I get to do that every day—for my patients, for my community, and for her.

This photo is a reminder of where it started.
And that everything I do now is about breaking cycles, making wellness accessible, and leaving this world softer, and stronger—for the next generation of niños y niñas.

🌏 The earth isn’t something we walk on — she’s something we’re made of. In traditional chinese medicine, the 5 elements live in our bodies and model the natural world. What’s happening outside is happening within.

🤝🏼 So on this Earth day and every day, here’s how we come back into balance — by honoring each element + giving back:

❤️‍🔥 Fire lives in your joy, your movement, your voice—give back by speaking up. Fight for climate justice.

🌎 Earth is your digestion, your center, your ability to nourish + be nourished—give back by composting, planting, slowing down. Care for your gut + your ground.

🫁 Metal is your breath, your boundaries, your grief—give back by reducing waste, purifying your space, breathing with intention. Take care of your lungs + hers.

🌊 Water is rest, flow, and your ability to feel deeply—give back by protecting water sources, reducing single-use plastics, honoring your inner tides.

🪵 Wood is your growth, vision, and capacity to be flexible—give back by supporting regenerative practices, land back movements, reforestation. Grow in a way that gives others room too.

💛 Right now, everything feels heavy. The attacks on the rights of so many communities have us all feeling anxious, fearful, and angry amongst many other emotions.

🧡 But here’s the thing—connection and community are essential in times like this.

💛 This week is too much—but I wanted to share these prompts focusing on connection as an act of resistance, regulation, and care. As a sort of “how do we hold each other up while the world feels like it’s crumbling” kind of way.

2️⃣2️⃣ Check on Your People: Text or call a friend who might be struggling.

2️⃣3️⃣ Hold Space: When someone opens up, just listen. You don’t have to have the perfect response or solution.

2️⃣4️⃣ Ground Together: Invite a friend for a short walk, a stretch, or 5 minutes of deep breathing. Regulating your nervous system together hits different.

2️⃣5️⃣ Support Local Advocacy: Find a local org helping affected communities and amplify their work, donate, or volunteer if you can. Collective action 🦋

2️⃣6️⃣ Ask for Help: You don’t have to carry everything alone. Reach out to someone you trust for a chat.

2️⃣7️⃣ Journal Your Feelings: Write down your fears, anger, and sadness—and maybe list one small way you can take action or care for yourself this week.

2️⃣8️⃣ Whether it’s a book, a song, or a meme that’s brought you some comfort or joy, pass it along to someone else.

⏸️ Weekly R.E.S.E.T reflections after missing last week ⏸️

💛 This week I was:

🔋 R – Recharging with a slow morning
No rushing to be anywhere, no stress—just me, a nourishing breakfast, a matcha latte, and dog snuggles. Helped to set the tone for the rest of my week.

💪🏼 E – Exploring more advanced Pilates exercises 😅
As I’m officially halfway done with my classical Pilates program, been moving into more advanced mat work—it’s all about feeling and understanding these exercises in my body in order to be able to cue them. Some days are humbling—especially taking advanced classes but really learning so much and connecting to my body in a whole different way 😊

🧘 S – Stretching…my neck always 🙃
My neck is where all my tension likes to live (anyone else?) This week, I’ve been giving it extra love with gentle pin + stretches throughout the day.

🌞 E – Educating Patients on restoring Yang energy ❤️‍🔥
It’s winter which is the most yin season—and here in Chicago it’s been FREEZING. So nourishing yang energy has been a huge focus in clinic—I love sharing simple ways to stay warm and nourished as winter sets in. And moxa is your best friend 🔥

🕯️ We’re halfway through the challenge, and this week, it’s all about connection. We’re talking about those real moments that make life feel full. Connection with your people, your community, and most importantly, YOURSELF. Because let’s be real, feeling good isn’t just about what you’re doing; it’s about who you’re doing it with.

1️⃣5️⃣ Reach Out: Text or call someone you’ve been meaning to check in on. No “sorry I’ve been so busy” needed—just a simple “you’ve been on my mind.”

1️⃣6️⃣ Compliment Someone: Whether it’s their energy or their hair—tell them! People love feeling seen.

1️⃣7️⃣ Listen Fully: Next time you’re chatting, focus on just listening. No planning your response, no multitasking.

1️⃣8️⃣ Kindness: Hold the door, leave a note, or send a friend a Venmo for coffee. Tiny gestures that can impact someone’s day 🩵

1️⃣9️⃣ Share a Meal: Invite someone to eat with you—virtually or IRL. Food tastes better with good company.

2️⃣0️⃣ Reflect on Community: Journal about a time you felt truly connected. What made it special? How can you recreate that feeling?
