Meet Shirley Khong, LCPC, (she/her/hers) 👋

Shirley named her practice Self Compassion Counseling because she believes that we need to take the time to deeply understand ourselves and create space for compassion in a world that has seen its fair share of divisiveness 🌸

Shirley’s passionate about helping to challenge the stigma around seeking therapy in Asian communities, where mental health support is often discouraged or misunderstood.

Yesterday’s workshop, “Authentic Expression and Self-Care Through Play” left us feeling aligned and in-tuned with our bodies and voices 😌

The first part of the workshop included a writing prompt, followed by some light exercises and breathing techniques. In the second part of the workshop, we practiced a variety of playful games 🤗

A special thank you to our amazing speakers for guiding us through the workshop 👏
