3 ways to come back to your body and create some capacity to feel and care for yourself + others. 💗
F**K ICE, go protect your neighbors. 🫶
1. Bilateral tapping: stimulates parasympathetic nervous system. Activates both the left and right sides of your brain simultaneously and can soothe anxiety.
✨bonus✨ Let a reminder/affirmation/kindness come to mind that you need to hear rn - imagine tapping into your body and breathing it into life.
2. Stress points: place your index finger and middle finger at the beginning of your brows ( or about the width of your nostrils /nose on forehead in line with brows for my unibrow friends 💗) place your thumb on center of your chin. TENDERLY apply LIGHT pressure to all three fingers as you breathe. Notice your breath. Let your teeth part.
3. Sway/rock: Wrap your hands around yourself in whatever way feels best, you can add blankets if that’s nice. Sway from side to side or rock back and forth slowly. Let your body find a rhythm. Might feel nice to squeeze or rub wherever your hands landed.
