One of my staff members, Morgan Kinney is a doctoral student at Adler and an expert in treating clients from neurodiverse backgrounds. His dissertation is on piloting his model through a workshop. The workshop will count for counselor’s implicit bias requirement. It will also count for social workers required (I think) training in multiculturalism. We are offering the workshop at no-charge for 12 CEs for social workers and counselors. Please consider being a participant. The flyers with details are being sent in next posting. Hi Everyone,
Dr. Nona Wilson and I are offering a Psychodynamic Consultation Group on Saturday March 4th and Saturday March 18th from 9:30-11:00am via Zoom. It will be an opportunity to explore psychodynamic case consultation models and discuss cases.
Counselors are able to receive up to 8 CEs for supervision/consultation experiences, so counselors attending this experience will receive 3 CEs. We are limiting the group to 6 participants.

Hi Everyone,
For years I have been wanting to do a workshop on this topic. Finally, I am offering one. Attached is a flyer with the details.
Psychodynamic work is about using yourself as a tool for change. It is about the development of a specific type of relationship with clients. In order to be able to evoke and management this relationship, you need to understand the impression you make on clients and be able to manage that impression. I believe, so many therapists, myself included, have never consider this or worked on this aspect of themselves. I believe there is a direct relationship between our ability to understand and manage our image/impression and therapeutic impact/client investment.

Exploring this area can help a therapist’s movement into being self-pay and creating a more intentional professional presence.

Finally, Rick Calabrese is on the BCBS network!! Rick works with me at Veduta Consulting, LLC. I am trying to build his load, so please consider referring to him. As you may know,


Rick is also the counselor at Beacon Academy in Evanston, so he is great with older adolescents and young adults (17-25) and the LBGTQ community, so identity/launching issues are strengths for him. He is also a great couple’s counselor. He works with clients with anxiety, depression, and general life stressors as well. He has specialized training and uses ACT, IFS and EFT therapies with a strong psychodynamic foundation. Rick is a gentle and empathic counselor with a good dynamic feel to his work. He is open to in-person and telehealth referrals.

We are growing at Veduta Consulting and I would like to welcome another new member to our team. Deanna Chrones is a licensed professional counselor, consultant, and certified hypnotherapist at Veduta Consulting. She comes to Veduta with a significant professional background in marketing, organizational development, and hypnosis. She is also certified in EMDR. Deanna works with adults and adolescents, and specializes in treating trauma, depression, and anxiety. Deanna has a special expertise in body/brain-based work and her ability to integrate hypnotist, EMDR and a psychodynamic/relational treatment approach is especially helpful for traumatize clients and clients who wish both behavior change and deeper psychological growth. I would like to welcome a new member to our team at Veduta Consulting: Rick Calabrese. Rick and I have known each other for several years. We met while he was a student in counseling master’s program at Northwestern during the time, I was the program’s director. We stayed in touch, and I supervised him while he was (and still is) the lead counselor at Beacon Academy in Evanston. Now, it is my great pleasure to announce that he has agreed to join Veduta Consulting. While Rick works with a wide variety of clinical concerns, he is very interested in working with couples and young adults 17-25. Currently, he is open to self-pay clients, but will soon be on several insurance panels. Rick is an excellent therapist; insightful and empathic. As many of you may know, one of my goals at Veduta Consulting is to mentor Counselor Education and Supervision (CES) doctoral students by providing them opportunities to see clients, offer CE presentations and consult with me. Recently, I have had a confluence of interesting experiences. First, understandably, at Veduta Consulting, we have seen an increase of clients seeking career counseling. While I have seen a number of “creative types” as clients seeking personal counseling, now a number of them are seeking career work. Then, Emma Grace Brown (https://emmagracebrown.com) reached out to me on the Veduta Consulting website and offered to write a musing that offered career advice to the same group.
