Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) occurs when particles from your vestibular organ become trapped in your inner ear structures that control balance (the semicircular canals). This causes dizziness which commonly feels as if the room is spinning. This type of dizziness is often triggered by changes in position. Ear mold impressions are cast impressions of the ear used to make custom tips for hearing aids. After looking in the ear, a small sponge is inserted into the ear canal. Then, impression material is used to fill the ear canal and outer ear area. The material will harden after a couple minutes, after which the impression can be removed and sent out for ordering!
