May is both National Women’s Health Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚

This month is a reminder that mental wellness is essential to overall health and well-being. Women often juggle many responsibilities while putting their own needs last, but taking care of your emotional health matters, too.

✨ Prioritize rest and healthy routines
✨ Stay connected with supportive people
✨ Make time to recharge
✨ Build healthy habits for mental well-being
✨ Ask for support when needed

Together, let’s continue building healthier and more supportive communities through awareness, education, and connection.

You are not alone. MAHA is here to support.

🌸 Early detection saves lives, and prioritizing your health is one of the most effective ways to care for yourself.

This National Women’s Health Month, let’s raise awareness of breast health, promote preventive care, and support the women in our communities. 💗

✨ Remember to:
• Schedule regular wellness checkups & mammograms
• Learn the signs and symptoms of breast cancer
• Pay attention to changes in your body
• Prioritize your physical and emotional well-being
• Encourage the women around you to prioritize their health

You are not alone. MAHA is here to support you with education, resources, wellness support, and community connection. 🤝

The MAHA Birth Equity Project is dedicated to promoting equitable, culturally sensitive, and compassionate care for prenatal and postpartum women within our community. Every mother or mother-to-be should have access to quality care and support to foster a healthier future.

✨ Through the Birth Equity Project, we provide support and services such as:
🤱 Pregnancy & Maternal Care
• Free pregnancy testing
• Educational workshops
• Maternal health support

🥗 Food & Nutrition Support
• WIC enrollment referrals
• Nutritional support resources
• Food Pantry

🧠 Mental Health & Wellness
• Prenatal and postpartum mental health support
• Emotional wellness resources

🏥 Community Resources
• All Kids application assistance
• OB/GYN recommendations

Women’s health is more than healthcare. It includes emotional wellness, access to support, healthy communities, and feeling seen, heard, and cared for.

You are not alone. MAHA is here to support women and families every step of the way. 💕

MAHA’s Dementia Caregiver Support Group warmly invites you to join us on May 29, from 10:30–11:30 AM!

Alzheimer’s is the most common type of dementia, but it’s not the only one. This Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, let’s learn the signs, support those affected, and advocate for continued research and care. Knowledge is power — and awareness. 💜
Join us for a workshop focused on fostering meaningful connections with those affected by dementia. Through heartfelt discussions and expert-led tips, we’ll explore creative ways to engage with loved ones in a way that brings joy, understanding, and love. These workshops will help you gain a deeper understanding of dementia and provide the support you need.
Because of the holidays, our meeting for this month has changed.
