“Being from Chicago, I’ve always wanted a piece that was visible from the train. And not just a little thing you can spot. Something that was almost intended for the train.”
City Pads would like to thank local artist Joe Miller, Uptown Chamber of Commerce, and all those who took part in the second annual Uptown Art Week. We were lucky enough to donate The Wilson Club, located at 1124 W. Wilson Avenue, as part of the weekly festivities this year.
The mural (titled “Uptown Dot King”) stretches most of the East elevation and is in clear view for all passengers riding the Red Line through Wilson Avenue. The work features vibrant spirals revolving along an all-black backdrop.
Joe is Chicago born-and-raised and achieved his lifelong dream of having artwork you could see from the L. Uptown Dot King will be a staple in the neighborhood for decades to come.

The Lincoln Square artist achieved that dream last month with his new mural ‘Uptown Dot King’ just west of the CTA’s Wilson Avenue Red Line stop.
