It was great to be the host for the fantastic turn out at Union Ridge Cemetery Saturday for our Wreaths across America event. We placed 260 wreaths on veterans graves to honor them.

Add December 20th 2026 @12 noon for next years event.
Go to wreathsacrossamerica.org and plan ahead with a donation for a wreath. URC does not receive any form of payment.
Feel free to send a donation before year end to Union Ridge Cemetery.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 5,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. Help us by sponsoring Veterans....

Union Ridge Cemetery is hosting Wreaths Across America event tomorrow- Saturday, Dec 13th at 12 noon.
If you are part of the service presentation, please arrive before 11:30 at the latest.
If you are planning to be part of the placement of the wreaths meet up front by the office.
The presentation will start at noon!
Dress weather appropriate and bring a broom if you have one.

We look forward to seeing everyone and supporting this day!

On snow days Union Ridge Cemetery will not open our gates until cleared.

Please use extra caution when walking or driving in the cemetery.

Please respect the cemetery and stay on the gravel carriage ways.

We do have graves, columbarium niches and a new scatter garden available. Call for an appointment to hear of the many interment options.

We’re a local, independent and oldest operational cemetery in Chicago.

Union Ridge Cemetery is a Monarch way station. We have increased our plantings of flowers and plants for the bees and Monarchs.

Last Call for Paver Orders. If you wish to have a Memorial Paver placed around our Flagpole for Veterans Day, call or visit our website www.unionridgecemetery.org for the order form. Orders need to be submitted to us by September 30th.

Thanks to Scout Troop 978. That’s Anthony with the American Flag who completed his Eagle project this spring at URC. The Scouts with their parents cleaned and reset a respectable number of Veteran headstones May 3, 2025. They used D2, same monument cleaner they use at Arlington National Cemetery.
