Today is a hard day, full of emotion.

Anger, sadness, confusion, disbelief.

As an adult, it can be hard to process what happened today. What happens all too often. But our kids need help understanding what happened today. There are a lot of good resources about how to talk with your kids about what happened, but the NCTSN has a tip sheet with some simple suggestions to get the process started. The most important thing is to talk to your kids. They are going to hear about it at some point and your ability as a parent to filter what they hear and how it is presented is important.
