Good Evening Chip’s Guardians,

I have a few updates to give on this renal journey. As previously noted, I’ve been listed as in the “early stages of organ rejection” for several months now. They have been many ups and many downs during the medicinal (pill form) treatment. Therefore, my team informed me on Monday that I needed to “self/direct admit” into the hospital this past Tuesday (7/1/25) for a series of IVIG TREATMENTS. The estimated treatment window was 3-4 days, but by the grace of God, I was released early this evening and completed all of the necessary treatments. I’ve attached this video to share with you, exactly what IVIG TREATMENTS are and the results of such infusions.

Meal/Food Planning For the Summer for Post-Transplant Patients(courtesy of my UIHealth Dietitian):
1. Wait to drink 20-30 minutes after your last bite
2. Chew all foods 20-30 times before swallowing
3. Eat PROTEINS first, then 🥒 vegetables 🌽 , then 🍝 starches, etc….
4. Meal time should not last longer than 25 minutes (unless it’s a multi course meal)
5. Avoid raw 🥩 meats (deli meat also)
6. Prep a healthy AM snack if you don’t like breakfast 🍳
