we stand with communities around the world under this year’s theme: “Overcoming disruption: Transforming the AIDS response.” This day is a call to action: to protect gains, rebuild services disrupted by funding shocks and political decisions, and accelerate person-centred, rights-based responses that leave no one behind.

We’ve come far, but the fight continues: ~40.8M people were living with in 2024 and ~1.3M new infections were recorded that year. When funding and policy change, lives are put at risk and we’ve seen clinic closures and staff losses in some countries after recent aid disruptions.

Now more than ever we must protect testing, prevention and treatment for everyone. ✊❤️
