Eating Disorder Awareness Week (February 24th-March 2nd) Recap!

To raise awareness, we highlighted the signs and symptoms of inadequate nutrition and disordered eating behaviors.

For those struggling with eating disorders, early intervention can be life-saving. However, research show that, on average, there is a 4-6 year delay between the onset of symptoms and seeking treatment.

We are committed to raising awareness every day of the year! Thank you to for partnering with us this last September to discuss the crucial role of nutrition restoration in eating disorder treatment.

By staying vigilant and offering support, we can help ensure that individuals receive the care they need as early as possible.

This is an educational healing space for those who have had their relationship to food and body disrupted by their previous engagement in sport, athletics, or other organized form of movement. Clients can register by scanning the QR code or emailing ewalsh@allow-wellness.com.

Meredith Starr, Director of Nutrition Services at Allow Wellness, and Kelsey Estry, MS, RD, LDN, Midwest Regional Director of Nutrition Services at Eating Recovery Center, formed a dynamic duo, sharing valuable insights and heartfelt stories that inspired everyone in attendance during their presentation, “Supporting Client-Directed Interventions Throughout Levels of Care.” Stay tuned for upcoming video clips from their presentation, showcasing helpful tips and entertaining bloopers! Special shout out to Michael Fontillas for making it all happen!
