El diálogo interno positivo es importante 💜

Aprender a reconocer temores sobre posibles dificultades con compasión —aunque sea en pasos pequeños— puede reducir su influencia. Con apoyo y práctica, es posible tolerar la incertidumbre, fortalecer la resiliencia y acercarnos a experiencias que se alineen con nuestros valores en lugar de con nuestros temores.

Positive self-talk is so important 💜

Learning to notice fears about possible difficulties -with compassion- even in small steps-can reduce their influence. With support and practice, it becomes possible to tolerate uncertainty, build resilience, and move toward experiences that align with our values rather than our fears.

A menudo pensamos en el peor escenario posible, pero ¿y si resulta ser el mejor?

Anticipar el peor escenario posible activa nuestro sistema nervioso , generando respuestas de ansiedad, pánico o incluso ira, como si la amenaza fuera real. Cuando practicamos imaginar el mejor escenario, funciona como un recurso regulador: calma el sistema nervioso y abre espacio para nuevas posibilidades ✨

We often think about the worst-case scenario- but what if it turns out to be the best one instead?

Anticipating the worst-case scenario activated the nervous system, triggering responses of anxiety, panic, or anger, as if the threat were real. Visualizing the best case scenario acts as a regulating resource: it calms the nervous system and opens space for new possibilities.

Thank you to Art of Fadez for hosting a Sexual Assault Awareness fundraiser for Mutual Ground THIS Sunday, June 12th from 10:00am - 3:00pm! They will be doing haircuts and braids. All the proceeds from the event will be donated to Mutual Ground!

We have opened the google doc for Texas interns, associates and licensed mental health professionals to sign up for free therapy services for the Uvalde community.
