CLEAR Research Lab - University of Illinois at Chicago The CLEAR Research Lab at the University of Illinois at Chicago investigates how the menstrual cycle impacts mental and physical health.

The CLEAR Research Lab investigates the negative AND positive effects of reproductive hormones on mood and behavior in people with longstanding emotional symptoms. Our current work focuses on the complex role of hormones in risk for su***de. CLEAR stands for "Clarifying the Endocrinology of Acute Risk", and refers to the way that hormones can both increase AND decrease risk for various mental health problems.
