❗️ Take Action Now ❗️

Receiving specialty care is vital to the well-being of patients with movement disorders. Telemedicine has been shown to be an effective way to overcome barriers to receiving specialty care such as cost, distance, and difficulty of travelling.

The use of telemedicine is set to expire on March 31, 2025, unless Congress votes to extend its use. Let your voice be heard using the link below. By providing your information, a letter will be drafted and sent to your representative!
https://aan.quorum.us/campaign/67737/

To learn more about the use of telemedicine in PD, check out this article: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4909521/

If Congress does not act to extend the telehealth flexibilities associated with the COVID-19 pandemic beyond the year-end expiration, many patients may lose access to these essential services.
