Meet our energetic and light hearted Founder of mPower Physical Therapy, Dr Vimmi Thakkar.
Dr. Thakkar obtained over a decade of experience working at Shirley Ryan Abilitylab, the #1 rehabilitation hospital in the country. Her passion is connecting with people and loves seeing her patients succeed.
She has extensive experience treating patients with both orthopedic and neurological conditions based on evidence based research. She is a certified MDT therapist from The McKenzie Institute, certified running gait analyst, certified myofascial trigger point therapist (CMTPT) and specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation. She also treats neurologic diagnoses, addressing balance impairments, strength deficits and gait deficits.
She loves spending time with her family and friends, dancing, traveling the world, hiking and reading.
