Again, we are issuing a new urgent statement to inform our community of another wave of online bullying, harassment, and defamation targeting my name and office.

At 6:24 PM CST, we became aware of the latest attempt involving a fake Instagram account impersonating a real individual’s face photo in an effort to spread vitriol and false, harmful, and despicable lies within the “bio” of the fake account.

We are deeply saddened and disturbed by this ongoing campaign of slander and fraudulent activity. We will continue to report this new incident and cooperate fully with the Chicago Police Department and our assigned detective to investigate and address this malicious conduct and libel.

We sincerely appreciate the continued support of our patients, colleagues, and community as we work to protect our reputation and ensure the safety and integrity of our name.

Public Statement from Art of Sight Eyecare

We are issuing this urgent statement to inform our community about a disturbing and malicious campaign targeting our business, Art of Sight Eyecare, and myself, Bao Pham, OD.

What Is Happening:

As of September 12, 2025, we were made aware of impersonation attacks by unknown individual(s) using fake email accounts and false identities to send inflammatory, harmful, and violent rhetoric to members of the public while fraudulently using our name and professional (public) credentials and our business name, Art of Sight Eyecare.

We have received direct reports from concerned individuals showing screenshots of emails falsely sent in our name. We recently discovered another wave of fake emails on September 15, 2025. These communications are not from us and do not reflect our values, voice, or actions.

What’s Being Done:

• We are currently gathering evidence and working with legal authorities and online platforms to investigate and remove the malicious content.
• We are also contacting all major platforms (Google, Facebook, Yelp, Instagram) to report fake reviews and fraudulent activity.
• All incidents are being documented and saved, including emails, screenshots, voicemails, and social media activity.
• If you have received suspicious communication allegedly from us, please contact us directly and do not engage or respond to the impersonator.

How You Can Help:

We are asking for your support:
• If you see suspicious or defamatory content falsely attributed to us, please help us by reporting/flagging it.
• Do not engage with any emails or messages that seem suspicious or aggressive.
• Share this message with others to help combat the spread of misinformation.

Why This Matters:

This is not just a matter of reputation — it is a targeted attack on the safety and livelihood of real people in our shared community. Our staff, friends & families are experiencing stress and fear because of this campaign of harassment and impersonation.

We have been made aware that a FAKE EMAIL from a FAKE ACCOUNT, falsely claiming to represent us, has been circulating. Please note that this message is not from us and contains unfounded rhetoric that does not reflect our values or communications.

We are aware of two versions of falsely fabricated screenshots currently circulating, marked with different timestamps (8:30 PM and 8:41 PM on September 12th). These emails and images are entirely false—deliberately created to mislead, sow confusion, and cause harm within my community, your community, and our shared community at large.

UPDATE 09/16/25: There are at least two more fake emails that were sent on Sept. 15th at 1:56 PM and 9:38 PM from ANOTHER fake email attempting to impersonate us again. We received this information from an individual on instagram who reports they received the emails twice.

We strongly urge the public—especially those who may have received or viewed this content—to verify any information through trusted, official sources. Please remain vigilant and cautious of manipulated or deceptive materials being spread online.
