Bringing this collaboration between Fourth Trimester and Swado to life has been such a full-circle moment. We didn’t just want to create swaddles we wanted to create something that *feels* like support. Something that honors both baby and mama in those tender, life-changing first weeks.

These custom swaddles, made from the softest cotton and bamboo all the way from Taiwan, were designed with purpose gentle on baby’s skin, breathable, and created to hold your little one in comfort while you find your rhythm in this new chapter.

Because at Fourth Trimester, we know it’s never just about the baby it’s about the mother, too. And every detail matters.

So grateful to be building alongside brands that truly align with our mission and heart. This is just the beginning ✨

Most things new parents struggle with are newborns sleep patterns and how irregular they can be! Here are a few things you can expect when it comes to your baby’s sleep routine:

🫧NEWBORNS STOMACHS: newborns have tiny stomachs. They need to be fed at least 8 times throughout the day and this also includes middle of the night feeds.

🫧NEWBORNS ARE NOT READY FOR LONG SLEEP STRETCHES: In the first couple weeks of life, it is normal for babies to sleep in short bursts throughout the entire day rather than in one long stretch through the night. As your baby grows and establishes a daily sleep schedule, their sleep with become more consistent.

🫧HOLDING YOUR NEWBORN: For new parents, your baby falling asleep independently in a crib is a long-term goal. Oftentimes, babies need you close in order to feel safe and secure. Your warm hugs and cuddles are a great source of comfort for them— soak it up!

Note to Remember: if your baby is having trouble consistently sleeping during the day or throughout the night, this has nothing to do with how you’re caring for them; it takes time to develop a regular sleep routine.
