We’re honoring 100 years of Black History Month with a powerful community event: Black Health Matters — Understanding Disparities, Advocacy & Healing.
We’ll dive into the health issues shaping Black communities today:
• Maternal health & birth equity
• Chronic disease prevention
• Mental health support + breaking stigma
• Overcoming barriers to care
This event brings together partners from Gads Hill Center, WIC, CDPH, and mental health specialists across Sinai Chicago to support wellness, advocacy, and healing.

February is National Cancer Prevention Month! We're shining a spotlight on the power of early detection, education, and equitable access to care, and the impactful work happening every day through Sinai Urban Health Institute's Health and Healing for Life (HHL) program. HHL helps residents on Chicago’s West and Southwest Sides access life‑saving cancer screenings and, if needed, navigation and support throughout the care process.
