The Lynn Sage Breast Cancer Foundation unveiled the “BIG hope” sculpture at its new home at UChicago Medicine on Friday, May 8. Originally debuted as a public art installation in downtown Chicago, the sculpture’s next chapter reflects a continued investment in breast cancer research and a growing partnership focused on accelerating progress and improving patient outcomes. Created by Chicago artist Matthew Hoffman, “BIG hope” serves as both a symbol of resilience for the 1 in 8 women who will be diagnosed with breast cancer and a fundraising initiative supporting innovative breast cancer research, clinical trials, and patient care. Its move to UChicago Medicine brings that message of hope directly into a setting dedicated to healing, discovery, and innovation. (Photo by Sheri Whitko Photography)
