☕Tune in Thursday for our October Coffee with CuraLinc episode!☕

Workplace safety is no longer just about hard hats and hazard logs. Today, leading employers are expanding their definition of safety to include psychosocial risks, cultural factors, and mental health vulnerabilities—and they’re using data to drive that shift.

In this episode, Pete Rutigliano, PhD, MercerWELL’s Behavioral Health Practice Leader, joins us to share how organizations are measuring what matters—surfacing risk, protecting employee health, and preventing harm before it starts.

Through the lens of Workplace Determinants of Health™ (WDOH™) and Mercer’s Safe + Well℠ framework, we’ll explore how data, diagnostics, and organizational assessments can transform safety from a compliance requirement into a strategic driver of wellbeing.

🚫You can’t meditate your way out of true burnout.

Yoga challenges, walking meetings, water reminders—they can all be fun and helpful. But if those are your only answers to employee wellbeing, you might not be solving the real problem.

Today, more employees are calling out wellness washing. That’s when organizations promote surface-level perks in the name of wellbeing. They’re often one-size-fits-all programs, and while they may look fun on the outside, the underlying company culture remains untouched.

The result is that these programs go unused. Trust starts to crumble, and the people who need support the most start to disengage.
