In the latest issue of STS News, our members-only digital magazine, learn how a multidisciplinary group of experts developed a new consensus definition for resectability in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The process included a thorough review of the literature and employed a modified Delphi method, focusing on critical areas such as resectability, neoadjuvant therapy, and adjuvant therapy. Take a look at this Cardiovascular Business article which reports on a new analysis published in The Annals of Thoracic Surgery showing advanced robotics to guide SAVR procedures may be a safe alternative to TAVR in low- and intermediate-risk patients with severe aortic stenosis. The researchers found that “TAVR was...linked to significantly higher rates of permanent pacemaker implantation (7.6% vs. 2.1%), vascular complications (9% vs. 0%) and stroke events (4.2% vs. 0.7%) than RAVR.” Read more: https://ow.ly/AbIu50U1AuH
