Dr. Tom Nutter, Cook County Health's Chief Behavioral Health Officer, joins Cook County leaders and Cook County Department of Public Health for the launch of the health department's "Get Naloxone" Campaign. The initiative raises awareness about naloxone, a safe and easy-to-use medication that reverses opioid overdoses, and expands access through billboards, digital outreach and community partnerships. The campaign emphasizes equity, highlighting the disproportionate impact of opioid-related deaths in Black and Latino communities, and builds on Cook County’s $20 million investment in prevention, treatment and harm reduction services.
