1.2 million thank you’s for making our 2025 Camp is Gold Gala unforgettable.

You read that right, we raised over 1.2 million dollars on Saturday night! Hundreds of guests gathered at The Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago to celebrate the magic of Camp One Step and to make sure kids with cancer and their families will always have the support of their camp community.

Join us in giving a heartfelt thank you to our Gala committee who works year-round on this event, our event chair Kerry Murphy Leiman, Ryan Sartori for hosting, Kaia for being our camper speaker, and the amazing sponsors who believe in the mission of Camp.

Meet Kaia, your 2025 Camp is Gold Gala speaker! Kaia first came to camp to chase her love of skiing. Within minutes of watching her crush each run at Park City Mountain Resort we knew she was going to be hard to keep up with! Kaia skis with no fear, and perfects her talent on each slope. After a few days, her fellow Utah Ski Campers started telling Kaia about all the adventures Camp One Step had to offer. Before we knew it Kaia was attending Summer Camp, Dude Ranch Camp, and Winter Camp. She had found a second family and made lifelong friendships at Camp.

Last weekend Camp One Step hosted our annual Family Camp in Williams Bay, WI. 53 pediatric cancer families joined us for an unforgettable weekend. We roasted s’mores around the campfire, jumped with joy in bounce houses, went fishing, enjoyed the snack shop (iykyk), played game show battles, and parents enjoyed soundbath meditation.

Camp is our second home, and we loved welcoming so many new faces to the camp family!
