We’re thrilled to celebrate our talented member artist, Marvin, who will have his first solo art exhibit at Intuit Art Museum, starting this Thursday! 🤩

Marvin is a self-taught artist from Chicago’s South Side who brings the city to life through large-scale, detailed drawings of Chicago’s cityscapes and portraits of residents. His dream is to be a working artist and display his pieces in galleries and museums. 🖼️ Now, he’s starting to live that dream.

People with disabilities represent only 7% of artists and arts-related workers in the U.S., so this is an important milestone for Marvin and fellow artists with disabilities.

Join us in congratulating Marvin on this well-deserved achievement! 🎉 Read more about him in this Block Club Chicago story and check out his exhibit through Aug. 23! https://blockclubchicago.org/2026/04/07/intuit-solo-show-a-dream-come-true-for-self-taught-morgan-park-artist-marvin-young/

Spring is in the air 🌸, and we’re in the mood for some spring cleaning! Our Westtown Center Kindness Team rolled up their sleeves, got outside and picked up trash in their community. They even interacted with a few neighbors along the way.

We’re proud of them for making a difference – one act of kindness at a time. How are you cleaning up for spring this weekend? Let us know in the comments! 👇

The Envision Unlimited Humanitarian Award shines a light on the dedication of individuals who make a significant difference in the lives of others. ✨ This year, we’re proudly honoring Project Wright Access – a transformative partnership with Eli's Cheesecake Company and Wilbur Wright College that’s creating meaningful pathways to education and employment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Together, this collaboration is building belonging beyond barriers by fostering inclusive environments where people are empowered to learn, work and thrive.
