Begin the new year with peace and clarity. Our annual NYE Reflect and Restore Yoga Workshop offers you the perfect opportunity to step into 2026 with a sense of inner harmony and awareness.

Embrace life's gifts and challenges by bidding farewell to the old and creating a clear vision for your future. In the company of like-minded friends, you'll engage in restorative yoga poses, reflective writing or drawing exercises, and the power of silent contemplation. This combination allows you to uncover forgotten thoughts and emotions, release physical tensions, and integrate new ideas and feelings, ensuring a harmonious and peaceful start to the new year.

You will be enveloped by the quiet confines of our sanctuary within the city, as all senses are uplifted through the caring guidance of your facilitators. This space will allow you to distance yourself from your daily-life distractions and do your own deep, inner work, allowing you to flourish at your most vibrant in the new year.

For anyone ready to intentionally reflect on their values and how they’d like to spend their time and energy in the upcoming year. No experience with yoga or meditation is required to attend.

Limb 8 of Raja Yoga: Samadhi

Yoga Sutra 3.3
Enlightenment (or Samadhi) is when through meditation the essence of the object shines forth in its own essence, without form.

​Now Patanjali reaches the final and eighth limb of Raja Yoga, which is Samadhi or the state of enlightenment. As difficult as meditation is to describe in words, enlightenment is even harder. Patanjali tries to explain it here so practitioners will have an idea of what it is like to experience enlightenment and understand when they have reached that goal.

✨BRAHMACHARYA✨ The Right Use of Energy ~ Cultivating Moderation

Yoga Sutra 2.38
By abiding in behavior that respects the Divine as omnipresent, one acquires an inspired passion for life.

Brahmacharya, the yama of “living in divinity,” encourages us to use our energy wisely, directing it towards meaningful pursuits. This is the art of moderation in all aspects of our lives, which reminds us to harness our energy and channel it towards activities that nurture our spiritual growth and inner peace. Often translated as continence, brahmacharya has an ancient relationship with the monastic tradition of Hinduism. Swamis (Hindu spiritual leaders) are expected to be celibate. But I think “continence” is a simplification. By distributing our energy correctly, we do more with less. Over-indulgence of any kind wastes lots of energy. So while I don’t believe Patanjali is telling every yogi to be celibate, this yama reminds us that our life force is limited and to engage in correct conduct to harness it correctly.

Step away from the bustling energy outside and into our quiet sanctuary, where you will be lulled into a state of deep rest.

After a few minutes of gentle movement, we’ll settle in for a longer period of stillness. From a comfortable resting pose, you’ll enjoy the words and instruments of our facilitators, who will cultivate an atmosphere where no thoughts are needed.

A great first step or addition to a meditation practice, Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation) is sometimes called the most challenging part of a hatha yoga class. For those who find their minds racing in meditation, this workshop creates the perfect environment for you to experience presence and peace.

What is your approach to teaching?
I want to teach yoga in an accessible way, through a trauma-sensitive lens. I want my students to feel safe and empowered to connect with their body through movement and breath. I hope to foster that connection in any class that I teach.
