Congratulations to Onward Neighborhood House, our 2026 Champion for Children Award recipient at the Rooted Annual Lunch!
For more than a century, Onward Neighborhood House has strengthened families and uplifted communities through education, economic opportunity, and vital support services. Under the leadership of Mario Garcia, their newest initiative, the CARES Community Center, will further expand this impact by creating an integrated, community health and wellness center on Chicago’s Northwest Side.
Together, IWS Family Health, Onward Neighborhood House, and other community partners are building a coordinated center that brings pediatric, behavioral, and essential support services together under one roof, ensuring families can access comprehensive care in a trusted setting.
