Our Story

Birch Tree Psychotherapy (formerly “Catharine Devlin, Psy.D., S.C.”) is a private psychotherapy practice, located in the Chicago Loop and South Barrington. With specialties in 1. eating disorder treatment and nutrition issues; 2. Anxiety disorders and OCD treatment; and 2. family, child, and adolescent psychology, we provide outpatient psychotherapy, assessment, and consultation to adults, youth, & families. Within a Health at Every Size (HAES) frame-work, we utilize research-informed approaches such as Intuitive Eating, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Play Therapy, and Family Therapies.
