This Harp Guitat is coming along nicely. The rim is assembled and prepped for the top and back plates. 50+ year air dried Honduran Rosewood, Sitka top, 19 3/8" body, 141/4" lower bout, 23.9" - 24.27" multi-scale, with 6 subs. I will be incorporating my Bevel Port along with a rib-rest, lap-rest and an arm-rest. There is a story that goes along with this build that I will be sharing shortly. Stay tuned.

I find every guitar is just slightly different, and a few thousands here and there make a huge difference when dealing with a perfling line. So for me, doing it by handmade may not be the easiest but is the safest, and as long as I hit my registration marks, it yields a consistent result. I do use a template and a router to cut the perfling lines on the top.

James Olson once said, "If I'm going to make a cut more than once, I'm going to make a jig for it." So that's what I do. Jigs make parts perfect and exactly the same every time. If you're not making jigs, you're wasting time. And yes I know I need a new table saw blade.

I've been enjoying doing these very clean rosettes lately. It's amazing how a rosette can set the "theme" of the esthetics of an instrument.
