How to read people ๐๏ธNot by what they sayโฆ
but by what they consistently do.
Because in Buddhism, intention (cetana) reveals the truth behind every action.
Letโs look deeper:
Hypocrites are always sweet-talking.
Their words are polished, but their actions lack alignment.
They use kindness as a mask, not a truth.
The envious devalue others.
Instead of growing, they shrink others to feel bigger.
Jealousy speaks through subtle disrespect.
The noble help silently.
No need for applause.
True goodness does not seek recognition โ it simply serves.
The brave acknowledge fear.
Courage is not the absence of fear,
but the awareness of itโฆ and moving forward anyway.
The petty judge others.
Their focus is outward, always comparing, always criticizing.
Because looking within feels uncomfortable.
The great discuss ideas.
They expand conversations, not peopleโs flaws.
Their mind seeks growth, not gossip.
The weak seek scapegoats.
Blame becomes their shield.
Responsibility feels too heavy, so they pass it on.
The strong know how to forgive.
Not because others deserve it,
but because they refuse to carry the poison of resentment.
The foolish are confident in everything.
They think they know it all.
But wisdom begins with humility.
The wise know when to stay silent.
They understand that not every truth needs to be spoken,
and not every battle needs to be fought.
The dishonest promise too much.
Big words, small actions.
They sell illusions, not integrity.
The happy donโt interfere with others.
They are at peace within,
so they donโt feel the need to control or disturb others.
At the endโฆ
people always reveal themselves.
Not in one momentโฆ
but in patterns.
So donโt just listen.
Observe.
Because awareness is the beginning of wisdom.
