Teaching since 2013, Caroline brings a slow burn energy. She believes yoga is a lifelong practice—each time you step on the mat is a chance to learn something new about yourself. She enjoys helping students transform in mind, body, and spirit and she loves a wide-legged forward fold—where she’ll gently remind you to let your worries spill out onto your mat and leave them there.

Our Friday night Restorative practice is going a little deeper in May.

As always, each class is designed to regulate your nervous system, support your body and quiet your mind through restorative postures, breath, and subtle movement. In this series, Jill will be offering a deeper understanding of the intention behind Restorative Yoga. Week by week, we build gently—creating space for your nervous system to settle, for awareness to unfold, and for presence to deepen in a way that feels sustainable and real.

Restorative Yoga ~ The Subtle Shift

Huge thanks to our student Lindsay Longstreth for hand crafting and donating this stunning shoe cubby bench for Yodega's lobby. Its simple, clean design incorporates the expert craftsmanship of biscuit joints - you learn something new every day!

We’re also so grateful to Damien and Erik of Unknown Origin Company in Rogers Park for sharing their space, tools, expertise, and even a custom stain to bring it to life.

April Teacher Spotlight ~ Tyler McKenzie ✨

Tyler is a creative new voice on our teaching team who brings vibrant energy to every class. With a background in dance and performance, his teaching blends movement, music, and mindfulness into a class where you might just surprise yourself. Tyler’s flows encourage you to let go of what you think it is supposed to look like and explore your own rhythm and sensation.

Tyler’s favorite poses are anything that feels like flying—Half Moon, Dancer, those magical moments where balance meets freedom.

When he’s not on his yoga mat, you can find Tyler performing in Hamilton at the CIBC theater or teaching dance and musical theater. He’s all about long walks, good music, and finding little ways to feel grounded—and maybe a little glam—every day.

Come to class and you might just learn the secret post-show spot to catch your favorite actors. But don’t wait—he’s only with us through May 21 before heading off to Alaska for a yoga and dance residency.
