📢 On July 13, the Chicago Tribune spotlighted Humboldt Park Health and other safety-net hospitals facing threats from proposed Medicaid cuts. As a vital provider for Chicago’s underserved communities, HPH continues delivering life-saving care despite financial challenges.

President & CEO José Sánchez says it best: “When you eliminate services, you eliminate people as well.”

Today, Humboldt Park Health was honored to welcome Congressman Danny K. Davis, Community leaders, and local clergy as part of a citywide effort to draw attention to the devastating impact potential Medicaid cuts would have on Chicago’s safety-net hospitals.

In attendance were Director Of Constituency Development / Programs & Operations at U.S. House Of Representatives, Nicole Nikki Harvey; our President and CEO Mr. José R. Sánchez, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dagoberto Camacho, Chief Operating Officer Daisy Rodriguez, HPH Doctors/Nurses/Staff — all standing united in our commitment to protect the health of our most vulnerable communities.

President and CEO Mr. Jose R. Sanchez delivered powerful remarks on the critical role hospitals like ours play in underserved communities. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Dagoberto Camacho supported as an interpreter, helping ensure the message resonated with all in attendance.

We thank Congressman Davis for his leadership and for bringing community and faith leaders to the frontlines of healthcare to witness the critical services at risk.
