We want the world to know what a blast we had celebrating
Women’s History Month 2025. OPJ Records sponsored a musical showcase tribute to Whitney Houston, Roberta Flack, Tina Turner, and Billie Holiday. A Special musical tribute was performed to acknowledge the achievements of our forever First lady Michelle Obama. The Signature Sports Bar and Grill in Steger Illinois hosted this One-of-a-kind Women's History Month extravaganza. Doc Payne and the Payne Relief Smooth Blues band with the vocals of the lovely N. Lacy and entertainer, blues and gospel diva Tracee Adams helped the audience to celebrate with high energy and jubilance. And to top the evening off, special awards of achievement were presented to these outstanding women 1) Dr. Tamiko J. Payne for her pioneering efforts in the field of education and her authorship of a brand-new publication “I am my father's keeper”. 2) N. Lacy RN, LNC, and past president of the Illinois Nurses Association, Co-host to the longest running Internet medical show the “A-Team” and now lead vocalist for Doc. Payne and the Payne Relief Smooth Blues Band for continued advocacy for improving physical and mental health in the world. 3) Grand Diva Tracee Adams for over 40 years of enduring devotion to the Music Industry as an entertainer and vocalist in Blues, R&B, and Gospel music. 4) Mrs. Michelle Brown recognized for her vigorous entrepreneurial spirit as she concludes her public service to the city of Chicago and continues to build a great entertainment center at the Signature Sports Bar and Grill in Steger Illinois.
These four women are exemplary and perfect examples of contemporary women who are breaking barriers, setting new standards, and inspiring change across industries and communities. The awards were presented by Melanie Latrice Payne... The COO of OPJ records.
