Illinois State Home Birth Association - ISHBA Home is where the heart is! CAHBA is now Illinois State Home Birth Association! Our individual websites are listed on the new website at www.ishba.org.

Please contact members individually through their websites. CAHBA was founded in October 2009 to provide support to each other and to combine our resources in the promotion of home birth in the Chicago area. We are also active in legislative efforts that support home birth and midwifery. In January 2022 we expanded the association to include all licensed home birth providers in Illinois. And thus

changed the name to Illinois State Home Birth Association (ISHBA). We meet monthly on the second Friday of the month.
