It was great meeting up with members of the medical ecosystem at the -K National Professional's conference this past weekend in .

The issues addressed here included the fact that the health sector in Kenya has undergone a myriad of challenges in the recent past, from health care workers’ strikes to unemployment. The devolved system has also come with its challenges. Moreover, frustrations are evident among providers with instances of delayed salaries and demanding workloads as a result of poor staffing. Some of the doctors have also had to take up administrative responsibilities reducing the time ideally allocated for patient care. This greatly affects the level of patient care afforded to patients across the country.

It was great to see the welfare of clinicians being taken into account as addressing the health and welfare of a clinician is the first step to addressing the health and welfare of the community that they serve and the most important step of addressing the quality of care that patients under their care can receive.

It was a great honor to be a part of the focusing on Men's Health held yesterday.

Men's health is not a common topic of discussion usually with many men preferring to wait out symptoms rather than seeking medical care immediately they begin feeling unwell. We are happy to see the strides made here to bring underlying issues to light by addressing them in depth with personal experiences from H.E Anyang' Nyong'o and H.E Dorothy Nyong'o. It is also amazing to see the progress made by Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital to bring world class care closer home.

We also got to participate in the Global Health Connector Partnership Side Session where global partnerships in technology and digital solutions to healthcare was addressed and many great connections were made! The digital push to enhance remote patient monitoring is also an integral part of the health conversation and we are glad to say that we are recognize the importance of this and are developing more products for digital health and homebased care. (Watch our pages for updates!)

We look forward to great partnerships in furthering the access to better quality healthcare in the region!

November is awareness month!

This year we would like to reflect on the genesis of as a product that we developed primarily for this very delicate and vulnerable patient population. With the youngest pre term baby to have been born and survived being of 21 weeks gestation, many existing probes and equipment are sometimes simply too large to for use by patients this small. Without adequate monitoring, a lot of these neonates may die or develop severe abnormalities.

We are therefore proud to be part of those developing much needed specific for this very special group.

It was a great honor to be part of the team invited by (Rural Private Hospitals Association of Kenya) for their county visit to where we met with many great hospital heads from across the county and beyond and made many great connections. We were represented here by our Customer Support Lead, Sheilah Wanjiru.
